Great Depression Living Conditions
Lots of people during the great depression lived in horrible conditions because they were just trying to survive. Most children had to stop going to school to support their family and most people moved to go look for jobs in places like California but few people found any luck. Families were hungry all the time and had little food which led to malnutrition. Some of the only jobs had to do with hard labor so people had to work on rail roads, steel mines and coal mines.
Farmers had a really bad time they couldn't sell any of their stuff because nobody had the money and even though they drastically dropped the price previously. Women had a bad time as well they didn't get any respect and were just house workers though some got jobs most stayed at home and cleaned up.
